Regarding last night's "show", Spread Eagle sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that was caused to our fans by this bogus booker/promoter.
We were also inconvenienced and are always learning who to steer clear from in this business.
Months ago we confirmed a Spread Eagle 12 a.m. Stone Pony co-headlining slot, via emails and phone conversations with Scotti D.
On 4/29 we changed our slot to 11 pm, via a phone conversation we had with Scotti D. We then changed our online promotion to reflect that time slot.
On 5/7 (day of show) Scotti texted that our time slot was changed from 11 pm to 9 pm. 9 pm is NOT a co-headlining slot as we'd agreed, so we weren't happy. We then called Scotti D multiple times, leaving messages that we needed to talk. He never returned our calls. At 6:45 pm he texted back giving us an ultimatum that it was 9 pm or nothing. By this time we couldn't even get to the venue by 9 pm (we were still in Manhattan) and MORE IMPORTANTLY we would never screw over our fans by playing at 9 pm while they show up at 11 pm to see us.
If anyone feels they were duped by this situation, demand a refund from Scotti D and The Stone Pony.
